Amir Arbabi is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, his MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and his BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran. His research interests include nanophotonics, flat optics, photonic integrated circuits, and more. He has received several awards and distinctions, including the Best ECE Junior Faculty award from the IEEE-HKN student branch at UMass Amherst in 2021.
